Drafting worlds
one chalk line
at a time.
Field Anchor Studio is a Milan-based game studio focused on creating immersive, meaningful interactive experiences with a hand-drawn creative soul. We build games for those who seek depth in simplicity.
The Chalkboard Manifesto
At Field Anchor, we believe the best designs start on a chalkboard. It’s temporary, visceral, and demands clarity before the first line of code is ever written. We prioritize "felt" mechanics over technical bloat.
Grounded Mechanics
Interaction is the language. Every button press must feel heavy with intent. Our indie games are built on a foundation of tactile feedback and physical weight.
Artistic Constraint
We lean into the "imperfect line." Digital entertainment often lacks a human fingerprint; we compensate with hand-crafted textures and artisanal soundscapes.
Narrative Resonance
A game is a conversation. We don't preach; we present dilemmas. Our stories explore the quiet moments between the action, creating lasting emotional impact.
"The goal isn't just to make 'fun' games, but to anchor the player in a world they believe could exist once the screen turns off."
How we ship excellence
The Constraint
Resisting Visual Noise
In an era of hyper-realism, we chose the path of evocative minimalism. We strip away the HUD, the markers, and the glitter to leave only the core experience.
The Approach
Iterative Paper Prototyping
Every complex logic system in our games—from the economy in 'Merchant of Rust' to the physics in 'Anchor Point'—is played on a tabletop before it's coded.
The Outcome
Digital Entertainment that Lingers
Our projects have consistently garnered praise for their unique Milanese design aesthetic and their ability to respect the player's intelligence.
Current Blueprints
Active developments currently being forged in our Milan laboratory. No fluff, just progress.
Cinder
2026 RELEASEA survival-narrative hybrid set in a perpetual winter where heat is a currency and silence is a weapon. Fully hand-animated in a style reminiscent of classical charcoal illustrations.
